Media Sales Account Executive

WVRC Media is one of West Virginia’s largest, most innovative and influential media companies, and we are looking for our newest team member. The Media Sales Account Executive works with businesses to develop integrated advertising solutions across digital, video and broadcast platforms. This full-time position is based in Morgantown and serves clients throughout north-central West Virginia and portions of southwestern Pennsylvania.

You will manage and grow an established base of clients while developing new business throughout the market: meeting business owners and decision-makers, identifying marketing opportunities, developing advertising strategies and selling a full suite of digital, video and broadcast products. Base salary plus commission, with compensation tied to sales performance and significant room for income growth.

• Confidence meeting new people, presenting ideas, asking for the business and building long-term relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business by identifying prospects, making connections and presenting marketing solutions.
• Manage and grow an established base of clients.
• Identify each client’s objectives and challenges, then develop strategies and messages to address them.
• Work with our in-house creative, digital and management teams to build and execute campaigns.
• Establish campaign objectives, review performance with clients and recommend changes.
• Stay current on advertising trends, media options and new marketing technology.

What you bring

• Understanding of marketing and advertising principles, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Comfort prospecting for new business and initiating contact with prospective clients.
• Education or experience in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
• Self-direction and discipline, including comfort with technology and AI tools that improve productivity and client results.
• Reliable transportation.

Radio News Anchor / Multi-media Reporter

The MetroNews Radio Network, a division of WVRC Media, is hiring an anchor and multi-media reporter for our Charleston office, the next addition to an award-winning news department.

The role covers statewide and local newscasts, scheduled and breaking news, preparation for The Morning News block, website updates and talk show appearances. The ideal candidate has a degree in journalism, broadcasting or communications, at least two years of radio, TV or multi-media experience, and is committed to producing high-quality journalism under deadline with modern equipment.
